Since its inception, the department has progressed with a vision and a strong commitment to developing competent programs, uncompromising standards of excellence providing state of the art computing facilities and training to students. The department has well equipped computing laboratories and a rich repository of software covering a wide spectrum of applications. In addition it has a separate Real-Time systems Laboratory for experiments involving computers interfaced with real time devices.
Conference Objective
The conference will provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to present their contributions related to "Distributed Computing". In addition to presented papers, the conference will include keynote addresses by leading researchers from academic institutions and industry. Case studies by eminent practicing engineers are also being planned.
There are many real world applications which are in dire need of computational resources in addition to user's own machine. For such applications, existing unutilized distributed resources among the networked computers may be made use of, thereby reducing the cost involved in setting up new hardware and software infrastructure in user's premises. This conference addresses various issues involved in sharing resources in a transparent, open, fault tolerant, scalable and secure way.
Guidelines For Submission
Authors are requested to submit an Extended Abstract (within 500 words) specifically bringing out their original contribution towards the solution of the problem at hand. Based on this abstract, provisional acceptance of the paper and request for full paper would be forwarded. Two copies of full paper not exceeding 8 pages, on one side of the A4 sheets in Times New Roman font of size 12, 1.5 line spacing are to be submitted on or before the deadline given.
The selected papers will be published in the proceedings of the conference only if any one of the authors register for the conference and present the paper.
